 “Aphrodite”

What Inspired this artwork is my love for Greek/Roman gods. Aphrodite is one of my favorite and I wanted to be able to convey my own version of the Goddess and it turned out just how I wanted. The watercolor wash was fun to play around with and the detailed hair was my favorite part to do. If I really had to change something about this artwork though is would be the background, I don't feel as if it compliments it enough. I think the part that i'm most proud of is the shading and hair details.

“Self Rendition”

I chose to create this self-portrait out of Copic markers and pastel in order to test out the kind of paper I was using. It started off as a simple test sketch but soon turned into the portrait it is now. I like the way I used color in this painting and the hair as well. I think the only thing I would change if i could would be the shading in the lips because I feel as if I could’ve done better. The part that Im most proud of is once again the shading and use of color all around the portrait.

Question of the day.

The advice I would give for next years students is too simply do the blog even if it sounds dumb or hard or even annoying just do it for the grade you wont get out of it.
